I wish Scotts or Amazon would give at least some information about the grass types in this blend, and explain why it is supposed to be tailored to Pennsylvania. The bag I received was mostly Kentucky bluegrass, with lesser amounts of shade tolerant fescues, such as chewings and creeping. In my opinion, this blend can be used anywhere the northern USA and the northern part of the transition zone, including, but not limited to Pennsylvania. It's a good blend, but hardly different from the more popular Sun and Shade mix, which usually includes the same varietals. Buy one or the other, whichever is on sale. They will both work equally well in the same parts of the USA.
