I bought these along with the big "Chocolate" peppers. The instructions with these seeds said to warm the bed to at least 80 degrees to induce germination but since I live in Tucson, AZ, I just direct seeded in very large pots. Success! They took about two weeks to sprout and I covered the pots with plastic to keep the soil from drying out, but now I've got several tiny pepper plants starting to put out their secondary leaves. I'll be back to tell you how the peppers turn out.

I'm back to report one year later! The plants are somewhat spindly, probably because I'm growing under shade cloth in the Sonoran Desert, but they are still healthy and continue to produce lots of walnut sized, very sweet, chocolate-colored peppers. What they lack in size, they make up for in numbers and taste.
