Lonas inodora, or commonly called Yellow Ageratum, is an annual that reaches 20 inches in height and loves a position in full sun. It likes moist but well-drained soils. Yellow Ageratum produces clusters of golden colored flowers, and it is known to be an excellent performer with a long bloom time. Ageratum makes a great cut flower, and for fresh arrangements they have a long vase life. It also dries well and works nicely in dried arrangements. Start the seed outdoors in the spring when frost danger has passed. Prepare a seedbed and firmly press the seed into the soil. Do not cover the seed and keep it moist. With a temperature range of 64 - 68F, germination normally takes place within 14 days.
