I've had success with this particular tiny pumpkin seed in the past, so I ordered another pack for the 2012-2013 gardening season.

Although the "Mini Jack" touted as a container pumpkin, it requires a LARGE container and a lot of room and support for the extremely long vines. It also requires male/female pollination, so it's not a plant to keep on a screened in patio or porch like some other container-designed plants are. You probably won't be able to pollinate it yourself with a small brush, unless you can easily tell the "male/female" flowers apart and are used to doing pollination by hand on trickier plants.

But if you have the space, the height, and a "busy" garden full of pollinators, the pumpkins are so cute. They truly are tiny and they are super fun to grow and pick, especially if you have kids. I grow all sorts of stuff, but it's still a little magical to go out there and see a perfectly formed pumpkin in miniature growing on a vine. These are definitely for decoration, but if you have room in your garden and a whimsical spirit, these are a great addition!
