Capistrano Rhododendron freely produces frilly, lemon-yellow flowers in midseason. Frilly, rich lemon-yellow flowers are freely produced midseason in large, rounded trusses. Dark green leaves are somewhat rounded at the apex.The late Dr. David Leach, a pioneer in the development of hardy Rhododendrons for American gardens, considered this to be his best yellow.
