Greensense Texas Greensand is an excellent fertilizer for Iron and trace minerals. This is a naturally slow release product. Compare to active ingredients in "Ironite ®" Our product has a higher overall fertilizer value, and is a natural mined, recycled product. This comes from deposits in Texas. Because of it's unique structure, It loosens clay soils while enriching sandy soils, it also helps all soils with water retention, while keeping them better aerated (when used as directed). Great for alkaline soils where trace minerals are often tied up and unavailable.The Greensand is Texas Greensand. This does not have the same green color as other Greensand, often being olive/gray/brown green . This is the raw, mined material, and will have small rocks and other materials inside. This is not refined or screened. It is not granular and will be difficult to spread with a machine.The Hygroscopic nature means it will easily absorb moisture, it will retain that moisture and will pack. The material may be hardened on arrival. This can be easily broken with a garden tool or hammer. If you are looking for refined, screened greensand this is not what you need.
