I was so happy I finally found a selective herbicide that would kill the ever-expanding stand of Bermudagrass that had inexplicably managed to take hold in the center of my Centipedegrass lawn. I followed the directions and did not mow 7 days prior and 7 days after application. About 7 days or so after application I noticed the Bermudagrass leaves starting to discolor. I also noticed that the Centipedegrass began growing taller than the Bermudagrass (it's usually the other way around). After a couple more weeks, the Bermudagrass was brown and dead. Now, about a month and a half later, some parts of the large brown Bermudagrass area are starting to green up again, so repeat applications are necessary to kill this tenacious plant. I noticed no damage or stunting to the Centipede. One other observation: while the few crabgrass plants that were growing had also wilted and appeared dead, they managed to come back in a more bushy form, with the completely dead crabgrass plant as the base for this new mutated version. They are easier to pull up this way though, so maybe it's a good thing.
