I put these seeds in a card board box with potting soil and topped with sand and they sprouted in one week left outside. I live in coastal California, bay area and it was toward the end of winter and during a random cold snap. They still spouted and did not die during the cold weather that went to upper 40's lower 50's. I believe about 75 to 80% sprouted. I sprinkled them on top of the potting soil and covered with sand.
