Envirolawn is a mixture of low-growing hard fescue, strawberry clover, white yarrow, baby blue eyes, white alyssum and English daisy. It creates a beautiful landscape that requires no fertilization, and infrequent watering and mowing. Envirolawn is the ideal, low maintenance groundcover that will grow well in sun or partial shade. Plant Envirolawn grass seed in the spring once soil temperature reaches 55F. If planting in the fall, allow a minimum of 8 weeks for establishment before the first frost. Broadcast ½ of the seed walking across the area north to south, and repeat a second application with the remaining ½ of seed walking east to west. Keep the seed consistently moist until germination occurs. The flower seeds germinate more slowly than the grass seed, so it is important to continue regular watering until all the seed has germinated. A light layer of peat moss (not more than ¼ inch) on top of the seed may help to retain some moisture and keep it from drying out too quickly. Optimal mowing height is 3 - 5 inches.
