The famous Greigii Tulips are the largest group of modern hybrids that are very close to some of the wild species. This is one reason they're so dependably perennial.Commonly called rockgarden tulips, these are the ones with big, full blooms on short stems, only about 12" tall. The foliage is dramatically striped, the flowers are particularly brilliant in color. Unlike other tulips, these open wide, almost like waterlilies. If you've never grown these, add them this year, and you'll be hooked. And since they're perennial, unlike most of the taller varieties, these beauties will be with you for years.
Red Riding Hood Greigii Tulip 10 Bulbs - HARDY - 12/+ cm Bulbs Review
Planted these bulbs this fall, so too early to know if they will come up, but fully expecting them to be beautiful. I like the fact that they arrived quickly and that the vendor gave information regarding bulbs and what to expect. These are short and are expected to bloom for years. Lots of tulips bloom once or twice and stop. These are supposed to bloom for many spring seasons. Very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend them to a friend.Gave four stars because it's not Spring yet and will have to wait to see.
