i bought this product because my yard is sand...during the summer months it is dry and i recently had a new water line put in so.. dry and all sand. I planted this after a little raking to get lines in the sand, then hand threw seed and raked again to bury the seed. I watered once a day just to get the sand wet (about 1/2 hr) and low and behold i have green grass growing within 7 days. I did a small area at a time and each time within 7 days i had green grass and we have had somewhat of a dry summer so far. This fescue grass is good in drought like weather and i live in northern MN. I expect that by fall my grass will be thick and established and then after winter we will see how it comes back...but i am really pleased right now!!
