We bought these seeds for my 12 yr old son, who loves (obsesses) over pumpkins. He has been trying to grow pumpkins, but not just pumpkins, giant pumpkins for years now. Because he is also autisic, he has a hard time growing them because he overwaters them. We live in Florida and with out climate, between the heat and rain, overwatering has caused none of the seeds to come out. I don't know for sure if it was him or not, so that is the reason for the 3 stars.

I bought this product for it's iridescent quality, because I was going to use it as "snow" on my paint-by-number painting ("Early Snow",Plaid Paint By Number Kit, Early Snow, 16-Inch-by-20-Inch also on this website). I was very happy when I ordered it, because I thought I was getting a really great deal on iridescent glitter. Well, I am very disappointed in the product. It is NOT iridescent at all, but instead plain white glitter that reminds me of how table salt sparkles if you hold it in your hand under a light. I will still use it, because I don't want to throw it away, but I am purchasing some glamour dust (DecoArt DAS37-3, Glamour Dust, 2-Ounce, Crystalalso on this website) in crystal which I know is iridescent, to mix with it in hopes I can still put the plain white glitter to some use. I looked up the definition of iridescent, just to be sure I was using the correct word for my search, and the definition I find says that iridescent means that it looks like a rainbow. This glitter doesn't look like that at all. Just plain white glitter.

It is a large shrub or small tree growing to 8 m tall. I only had success with 2 seeds germinating after statifying, potting up an inch deep, and providing a warm, moist environment continuously.
So far the seedlings look hardy and healthy.

I had one of these years ago, but had moved and wanted another. Nuts n' Cones sent six seeds. They typically take about three to four weeks to germinate and break ground. These broke ground in three weeks. These are beautiful plants and are very underused which makes them fairly unique in the garden. Once established, they are relatively carefree. (I am in an area border line betwixt zones 4 and 5)

The very symmetrical arrangement of the long lasting flowers gives it a very exotic look. The foliage looks like a typical thistle, but are quite soft. Just be aware that until they flower, they really do look like thistles so DON'T pull them out!

I bought this and planted it in an area that I have been trying to grow grass for the last 6 years. I have dogs and everyone says that you cannot grow grass if the dogs run on it all the time. Well they are wrong. I wet the ground down, raked the wet dirt with my hard tong rake and then planted the grass seeds. I did put it on heavily but was unable to cover most of it up considering I had to wet it down to be able to rake it. Within 4 days, with watering twice daily I had grass and it is still growing and we are in a drought. I intend to buy more in the future for some bald places in my yard. I have seen no weeds in the grass yet

These bulbs give a nice soft bluish light perfect for night lights. They are simply regular bulbs dipped in a translucent silicone coating. This is a bit more durable than just producing a coloured bulb and it will take a little bit more rough handling or knocking about in areas where night lights are often placed. Otherwise it is basically just a typical bulb, so only 4 stars, not five. If they last as long as standard bulb I may buy again, but wonder if they are really worth the extra cost.
