I am a professional gardener and have found this stuff to be amazingly effective on powdery mildew. I have not yet tried it on black spot but only because I have not had to. (Of course, some black spots could be bacterial in nature and therefore this product would not work because it's strictly a fungicide.) If you spray powdery mildew one day, it will simply be gone the next day. You have to be sure to contact all of the fungus though so a repeat application may be necessary. It may leave some yellowing on the leaves if the fungus has already done some damage but the plant will be much happier in general. This stuff is far more effective and far less toxic than anything else I know of on the market. I recommend it highly.
